Regardless of your reasons for wanting to retake the CliftonStrengths assessment, Gallup’s research shows that your initial completion yields the purest and most revealing results. We do not recommend retaking it even if you felt rushed, think you answered a few questions wrong or first completed it many years ago.
However, there are certain situations when it may be helpful to retake the CliftonStrengths assessment:
- You took it right before or after a traumatic life event.
- You took it in your non-native language.
- You were distracted when you took it.
- You took it in school or early in life, and at least 10 years have passed.
- You were not authentic in your responses the first time you completed the assessment.
If you need to retake the assessment, you must get a new access code and redeem it with a new Gallup Access account. You can purchase an access code or a CliftonStrengths book that includes an access code from the Gallup Store.
